More Gotcha Day!

Our Gotcha Day was so sweet.  We were to meet on the 3rd floor of the hotel at 3:30pm.  I had the gifts prepared.  Danielle and I anxiously waited for 3:30.  It was the longest day ever.  But about 3:20 our phone rang and it was our guide and she said "your baby is here".  I was out the door immediately.  We got to the 3rd floor and could hear voices down the hall.  We headed that way.  Our guide Maggie was holding Aubree.  She was so frightened.  She handed her over to me and she just clung to me with her head buried into me.  She was holding on for dear life.  No tears or screaming.  She just held on.  She had her mama!  I had my girl after so very long of looking at pictures I was finally holding this precious treasure!  She eventually fell asleep while we did paperwork.  Then they wanted a family picture.  She did not want any part of pictures.  Flash cameras scare her terribly.  With very limited vision the flash is very scary to her.  We tried for a while but they said for us to get one in the room and email it to them so we left and went back to our room.  She very quickly warmed up to us.  We gave her the toy camera which she loved because it talked and had a light that didn't flash.  She also loved this little spinning light.  She puts this right up to her left eye and watches the light.  These two became her favorites.  She had no interest in the baby dolls.  We took her to dinner that night and she ate fried rice.  She loved it.  I was able to put her to bed in the crib this first night.  She just laid right down with no fussing at all and went right to sleep.  But in the middle of the night I woke up and she was just sitting up in the crib.   I picked her up and put her in bed with me.  She snuggled right up and went to sleep.  It was the perfect first day together.  God is so good!  She is so very precious!

In Just One Hour!

November 2nd, 2014

Today is the day I have been waiting for for over a year!  In just one hour I will be holding our sweet Aubree Jingyan Analise.  She is in a car heading to our hotel to meet her mama.  Oh Lord please give her peace. Prepare her little heart to accept us!  Lord calm all her fears as she meets us.  Help her to understand that we are her family.  Give her comfort in being with us.  Take away the fear for her Lord.  She will be here in less than an Hour!  Help me Lord to be calm and help me to make her calm and feel protected and loved.  Lord thank you for this amazing journey.  I am so blessed to have been chosen to walk this journey with you Lord.  It is truly a privilege to be the mama to all the blessings you have given me.  It wont be long now Lord!  All I can say is thank you!  You are an amazingly awesome God!  Please let us see this beautiful smile real soon!

Here We Go Again!

October 19,2014

It is crazy to think that we are about to do this again.  Only God!  Only God could have made this possible.  And He did!  In just 11 days Danielle and I will be on a plane to China to bring home our beautiful daughter.  God promised if we would just trust him and follow he would make it happen.  Her name will be Aubree Jingyan Analise.  God gave me Analise and this means Graced with God's Bounty.  He truly has done that.   I knew that this would have to be totally from God.  We have had so many fundraisers for our other 6 adoptions and have relied on family and friends to help that we just couldn't do that again.  So we put it in God's hands and through only the grace of God he has made it happen.  We will be bringing our little beauty home!   There is a long and amazing story that brought us to this point and I will share that when I have more time.  For now I will just share some of her beautiful pictures.
